The Growing of Seth

Author’s Note: This piece includes details from the first 4 books of the “Fablehaven” series.

In Fablehaven Seth had always been a troublemaker who always made rash decisions. He had faced many hardships which had changed him. Seth and his acquaintances had to race with their enemies for 5 keys which would open the demon prison and end all life as we know it. In those intense times Seth had to become a person who made life or death decisions. He had made the right calls and that had saved everyone. This had changed him from mischievous to be being decisive.

Some people get advice from their elders about what they shouldn’t do. Seth was one of them but he didn’t listen. He had learned that he should listen to his elders after he learned the hard way because when he was not supposed to open the window to demons who could use illusions to trick him, he had been fooled and opened it anyways. The result of had his actions had caused his friends and family hardships. After that he had never opened the window to the demons and he also listened to most of his elder’s advice.

Seth might have listened to his elders but sometimes he didn’t for the good of his family and friends. He  and his friends had to get an item to succeed in getting one of the five keys but their grandpa thought it was much too dangerous, but Seth had used his instincts to get the item.  In his mind he had a feeling about going to meet a demon and that demon had gave him the knowledge to go and get the item. He was the only one who could do it and he had done it for the good of his friends. Also he had snuck in with his friends when they went on their mission but he had actually saved them sometimes. He had made the right choices and he couldn’t have done it without his decisive thinking.

Going to places in secrecy isn’t just Seth’s trait. In “Stormbreaker” Alex Rider had gone to a junkyard without telling anyone including his caretaker which is the closest person he had at that time. He almost got killed by his careless actions and also by some other people who were shooting at him. He had not just gone in vain. He found out some valuable information just like Seth had when he went to meet the demon. Both had taken huge risks which pay off though since they had both found out precious information and knowledge is power.

So Seth might have made some careless mistakes and took live-threatening risks, but in the end he had done great acts. He had located the item to which would help them get a key and he had also helped his friends and family live to see the light of another day. He was like people in other books like “Stormbreaker” but that wasn’t a bad thing because he had done fantastic acts just like the other character.

Prediction to 3:15

My predictions for 3:14 is that Troy will not end up like Dale did because in most movies and books the hero usually overcomes what others do not so I think he will be safe from what was going to happen. I think that he will be immune or something like that from whatever that was going to change him.
I was wrong because he did change and end up like Dale.
After that I think Mr.Mason will save because Troy was the only person who had ever actually liked him him and Mr.Mason had felt sorry for him so he looked for a cure and found it because Troy just can't end up like that because most books usually have the hero survives in the end.
